Biography
I am an artist, author, and storyteller whose work blends illustration, narrative, and history into pieces that spark imagination and evoke emotion. My creative journey is shaped by a love of visual storytelling — whether through books, whimsical illustrations, historical presentations, or artworks that capture a moment in time.
As the 12th generation of my family living in America since my ancestors arrival four centuries ago, I carry forward a deep appreciation for heritage and place. This history often weaves itself into my projects, giving them both a sense of continuity and a timeless quality.
I am also neurodiverse, likely on the autism spectrum, and experience Spatial Sequence Synesthesia — a unique way of visualizing time, numbers, and sequences as tangible spatial patterns. This perspective shapes how I organize information, build timelines, and connect seemingly distant moments in history. It has been invaluable in my historical research, particularly in tracing my family’s lineage and visualizing generational narratives.
My work draws from realism & whimsy, tradition & innovation — moving between detailed fine art, imaginative digital compositions, and compelling narratives. Whether I am bringing a gnome to life on a page, guiding an audience through a family’s history, or crafting a visual scene that invites the viewer into another world, my goal is the same: to connect people with stories, both real and imagined, that stay with them long after the final page is turned or the image is seen.

A Creative Journey
From my earliest sketches to my songwriting to my published books, creativity has been the constant thread running through my life.
I weave stories not only with words, but with images, music, and presentations that bring history, imagination, and emotion to life.
My work moves fluidly between mediums — traditional illustration, digital art, and written narrative — always crafted with care, intention, and a deep respect for storytelling.
Whether I’m illustrating a whimsical gnome, sharing the rich history of my family’s Cape Cod lighthouse roots, or presenting a new book to an audience, I aim to create a sense of connection and wonder.
While my books and storytelling projects take center stage, I occasionally accept commissioned artwork — each piece created as a timeless keepsake, meant to be cherished for generations.
My Mission
My work lives where narrative and visual art meet — illustrations that tell a story, and stories that paint a picture. I combine realism with whimsical imagination, stirring together inspiration from nature, history, and the “what ifs” of the imagination. As someone who is neurodiverse, my unique way of perceiving time and patterns often shapes how I weave these elements together, adding depth and structure to my storytelling. I believe in the power of art to preserve moments, spark curiosity, and bridge generations.

Beyond the Studio
When I’m not at my drawing table or working on a manuscript, you’ll often find me presenting at libraries, historical societies, and community events. I share stories from my books, insights into illustration, and reflections on how heritage shapes who we are. These events often lead to meaningful conversations with audiences of all ages, where we exchange ideas, share personal histories, and celebrate the ways art and storytelling connect us.
